Ryan Koonce, MD

Allan Schmelzel is a certified Physician Assistant who earned his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences at Ball State University in Indiana, and later his Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Growing up in Indiana, Allan always knew he wanted to move to the mountains which he did in 2015.

 

Allan's orthopedic knowledge and experience make him a great asset to our team and our hospital.  He been a Physician Assistant in Orthopedics since 2013.  He started his career working at the Level One trauma center at our Anschutz Medical Campus. While there, Allan had the opportunity to help patients recover from life-changing injuries under difficult circumstances. His current practice includes hip, knee, shoulder, elbow, and trauma at Highlands Ranch Hospital.  Allan enjoys working with patients to help get them back to the Colorado activities that they love.
